"The service here was top notched and everyone was very friendly. Even though our flight was delayed by one day due to rasaga typhoon in Hong Kong the hotel staff Jennie, was able to accommodate us and work with our new schedule. They also helped us plan our tour in ninh binh. The morning breakfast buffet was good as well. The location here is convenient for tour pick up and centrally located for food. We got the balcony room and it was a pleasant experience to be able to enjoy the view outside. Overall, we had a great experience and would stay here again in the future. "

"This hotel is an oasis of tranquility in the busy city of Hanoi. The rooms are spotless, the beds are SO comfortable and the amenities are excellent. That being said, it is really the staff that puts this at the BEST hotel we have ever stayed at. Each staff member is very warm, professional & anticipate your every need. "Staff very friendly and helpful. Our Halong Bay tour was cancelled due to typhoon and they were able to fit us in for an extra night and linked us to great day tour to Ninh Binh. Great having a pool for kids to cool off in. Breakfast buffet excellent. "

"The staff truly made my stay enjoyable. I visited to celebrate a birthday, but the day came and went without any special acknowledgment from the hotel—no small gesture like a slice of cake or a card, which was a bit disappointing. That said, the overall experience was still worthy of four stars. A special mention to Trang in the F&B department, who was outstanding and made a real difference to my stay."

"If you want a luxurious place to stay in Hanoi, The Sofitel Metropole Hotel should be at the top of your list. Built in 1901, it retains echoes of the French colonial era. The service was excellent throughout; from the reception to the breakfast area, and our favourite, the pool bar! Our room was very clean, comfortable and spacious, with a smart TV that allowed us to connect to various services such as Netflix and You Tube. One minor point to note for visitors from the UK - the power point accept UK plugs without an adaptor, which is very handy indeed! This was our second visit to Hanoi. We stayed here for 7 days this trip and we were very sad to leave! Thank you to the all the staff at the Metropole; thank you Hanoi and thank you Vietnam. We will definitely be returning."

"A lovely stay for 3 nights… the pool was refreshing given the heat and the aircon in the room was also much appreciated. Breakfast was tasty and the front desk were super helpful given our early arrival and to arrange taxis. We also used the free shuttle into the Old Quarter. "
