Search B&B in Lakeland - Winter Haven

"Checkin was awful. This is the 2nd time checkin was bad so that tells me it's the norm. We arrived after 5. Waited in line for over an hour only to be told room was not ready. No apologies as if this was to be expected. Made it to our room at 8:30. Our last night, we had to evacuate due to a fire. We were on the 6th floor and i had to walk my mother who is in a wheelchair down 6 flights of stairs. Staff passed us and didn't even offer to help. Checkout was at 10. They were knocking on my door at 9:45 wanting to clean. I was not abke to checkout online because it was 10:01 (past 10). So many people had the same crapy experience as I did. We will not be coming back. "

"Hotel in generally poor condition. Stained, sagging or missing ceiling tiles; hallways missing floor trim; carpets worn and dirty, exterior walkways crumbling, uneven, trip hazards; parking lot inadequate drainage, "lakes" formed after rain. Only saving grace was a clean room, albeit noisy."

"The continental breakfast was not a breakfast. Cold cereal and toast does not qualify as a continental breakfast. "

"The pools were very nice but very far from each other. No resort feel it’s like being in an apartment complex. The rooms were not clean and there is no housekeeping. Everyone has their garbage and towels in the hall and it attracts animals. They charge a resort fee yet most things are working and they no longer have a shuttle. No mini golf, no shuttle and no house keeping not sure what the resort fee is for. No towels or receptacles at pool. Bedding seemed dirty. They loosely toss a flat sheet over the mattress . It’s not tucked in or made up. It’s a bit gross not sure why anyone would want a membership here. "
