Remarkably quiet residential street despite tube and shops being so close. Very pleasant helpful staff and very very clean. Loved that windows would open! There was occasionally smell of sewage in room which was not pleasant.

Location perfect for the tube. Recently refurbished it seems, very comfortable Great staff. Could turn the music down a little at breakfast though :-) Nice breakfast.

Beautiful hotel, in the perfect location to explore London. 2-minute walk to Earls Court Tube Station. Lots of shops and eateries on the doorstep!

Room was freshly remodeled. Room and passage ways were very clean. Area was quiet, but plenty of pubs and restaurants within a block of the hotel. Easy access to the Underground at Earl's Court.

Horrible Stay
Stay was not at all comfortable. There was no elevator and room was at third floor. I am a heart patient and it was hard to climb three floors. Moreover, breakfast room was in the basement and no elevator. Horrible stay. I explained my situation to the receptionist and initially they said they will provide a room in the lower floors. Then they changed their mind and refused. That receptionist woman was rude and bluntly refused to provide a room in the lower floor.

Great Stay for First Trip to London!
Really enjoyed my solo trip to London staying at Merit Kensington. Conveniently located near train, restaurants and shops. Small accommodations, but perfect for a solo traveler or couple, though I would recommend against two people bringing big checked luggage since there's not much storage space. Hotel staff was helpful, cleaning service was excellent and the location was clean overall and modern.
