This was not quite the case and we are still waiting to hear from Premier Inn. 「Lovely, historic boutique hotel in Ayr. Small, but nicely appointed room, convenient location. Near the beach, close to transportation, etc. Walked to a beautiful golf course, Belleisle, and played there on a spectacular sunny day. Enjoyed 2 breakfasts and dinners in their restaurant. 「The calm of the flowing river adjacent and views of the Brig O'Doon from a river bank perspective, within the grounds of the Hotel. The view of the Brig O'Doon and Rabbie Burns memorial garden free to access next door.」

「This is a modern hotel in an historic house with a fantastic restaurant attached. Not sure if the two are owned by the same group but probably. The check in is all virtual, no hotel staff are on site, and it went smoothly however I did have to step outside to get a decent cellular signal in order to check in. Close to the railway station. Excellent breakfast in the restaurant. Highly recommended!」
