It sits on a busy highway with constant semi-truck traffic and engine braking, making it impossible to sleep. 「We came to hike so was great location-relatively short drives to copper harbor, eagle harbor, McLain State park, falls etc.. calumet area has options for dining, groceries etc so you don’t have to drive to Houghton, unless desired. 「The cabins are cute and comfortable with comfortable you need inside. We loved using the individual firepit that was right outside the door. We hiked to the waterfalls and the secret firepit and it was a fun workout. The advertised night sky watching from inside the cabin was not possible because of the bright lights from the church across the road that shone into the cabin. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!」
