The rooms are in a separate buildng and not above the pub so quiter (some of them do overlook the pub garden). The pub is fine with good food and excellent service. "We had a fabulous stay at the Grand for our 40th wedding anniversary, the room was fabulous. Spotless, roomy, comfortable with a very large soaking tub in the bedroom. It also had a sea view and balcony (Pavilion room). The hotel arranged a bottle of champagne and card on arrival which was a lovely treat.
We enjoyed breakfast in the conservatory with sea views and the food was delicious with a great choice.
Our maitre,d was super attentive he was an Italian gentleman who’s name I can’t recollect.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful especially Laura who checked us in.
The cocktails in the bar were very tasty.
We will certainly be back.

"A very pleasant overnight stay for work. Check-in staff were very pleasant and morning staff were friendly and helpful with taxi arrangements etc.
Room was clean and quiet, with a nice large 4K TV for relaxing in the evening.
Breakfast was solid, if standard fare of hot breakfast (fry), porridge and vegetarian options.
