「Nice place convenient for Newcastle but out in countryside and quiet. Not really good having to walk through the wedding area to get to the rooms. Perhaps a separate entrance would help. One ceiling light hanging in the room and one light out but the room was clean and the bed very comfy and we enjoyed breakfast. We would stay again.」

「We had a wonderful stay at Rockcliffe Hall. The decor is stunning, the staff is professional and friendly, the spa has a range of wonderful treatment rooms and excellent facilities inside and out, the food and service in the Clubhouse is spot on and the golf course is top notch. Highly recommended!」

「The George is a lovely old building but needed a bit of tlc in places. The room was comfortable and in a quiet position with parking right outside the room. The setting of the hotel is beautiful- next to the river in a lovely little village but there are no other amenities nearby. The food was nice enough although my gammon was overcooked and a little dry. The breakfast was plentiful and there was lots of choice. The staff were friendly and helpful.」

「Overall, the room is warm and comfortable although it is relatively small, sufficient for move of one person. The bathroom is large and warm. One drawback is the location is not near to Durham town Center (35 -40 minutes walking distance) and go some slopes before reach the hotel. 」
