“We stayed in Owls Burrow. The Room was lovely. Cheesecake in a dome on arrival. Jug of water. Tea and Coffee Facilities. Nespresso Machine. Dressing Gowns. Fan if needed. Complimentary Toiletries to use while staying. Mattress comfortable. However 3 of the pillows were lumpy or flat. Be aware that the room faces a busy road. So I was kept awake all night as I am a light sleeper. Unplugged the fridge as it only had fresh milk in. Too noisy to have kept on. We went down for breakfast. We chose a……

“The property has an imposing stance and even before entering, suggests a degree of elegance and style. The start was not good, however, as upon entering the room, I found that it had not been serviced. I cannot remember if I received an apology - suggesting that maybe I didn't - but the hotel deducted the price of two bottles of wine from a dinner for 8 as a paliative. Once serviced, the room was fine. It was well appointed, but cold initially as for understanable reasons of cost, the heating……

“Very good basic room to lay your head for a night for the price. Spotlessly clean. Pastry and coffee included the next morning, parking was tricky and we had to park on the road outside. My only concern that there was a lot of noise during the night. Staff were very nice. Would say again.”

“AVOID! On arrival we got our keys from the keylock which was a simple process. When entering the apartment it completely stunk of cigs and w - as if people had been in there for days smoking. Even aside from the foul smell the place is very run down, lots of marks and stains on the walls etc. The glass hob surface had a large chip/crack on it which you could easily cut yourself of. A number is given to contact and says it's staffed until 8pm. We arrived about 8:30 but messaged basically……

“This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed so far by hotel.com bookings! No customer service at all!!! We all had to wait so long for someone to come out of the front office for checking in! And they were not in mood of helping their customers, everything were turned down and ‘NO’! One of the guests had no choice but changed to Double-tree immediately after checked in! The frost desk simply doesn’t answer any calls fm rooms, they just said ‘will call u back’ and hanged up, but never called back.……

“Great value accommodation ”

“Great location , friendly discreet staff . Good size rooms of a good standard and I overslept and they extended my check out by 1 hour free id charge. Amazing.! I booked it thru Hotels.com app. It's my new go to app for travel related bookings after the poor treatment I got from Booking.con who refused me a refund on a booking that I couldn't use because the owner has changed the code on the key box and not updated this information on booking.con. I will not be using them again. I can recommend……
