「Quinta Atlantis is a beautiful space that makes you feel right at home. The craftsmanship of the wood is amazing and the fireplace is awesome. A great place for solo or couple travelers in the hills of Povoacao. You’ll spend time with the dog Laika and the cat Pluto who are very friendly, but will give you space as well. Breakfast is the best you’ll get on the island. Fruit, eggs, fresh Jam, yogurt, vegetables and hummus. I will surely stay there next time I’m on Sao Miguel.」

「From the moment you arrive at Furnas Lake Forest Living, you feel a sense of calm. The reception was easy to find and we received a very warm welcome and explanation of the property, then were guided to our house. It was a very personal experience and I appreciated the attentiveness of the staff. The houses are secure, quiet, immaculately clean, and situated in a stunning forested area. 「We were welcomed warmly and offered tea while we checked in. Juliana took the time to inform us about the area and how best to enjoy our stay. Breakfast was delicious, beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water for long showers.」

We stayed in early April and the weather was beautiful but unpredictable (as usual in the Azores) and our room stayed a comfortable temperature the entire time without using the thermostat. The only change I'd make is more variety at breakfast and more opportunity to try the Azorean beef at dinner! 」
