  • #Shinjuku #Tokyo #Japan #alley The famous piss alley or Omoide Yokocho in Shinjuku, Tokyo. By day it's just another narrow alleyway common in Tokyo, but at night the street turns into a mini nightlife area for the salarymen of Tokyo. With numerous tiny #bar lining up, the nickname comes from the fact in the past so many drunk salarymen doing their "bussiness" there because there's no toilet anywhere in this alleyway. Today, regulation has been set in the area so it is a lot cleaner than before. The alleyway is very narrow and can only fit at maximum 2 people at a time so be mindful of your surrounding when visiting especially when there's many drunk people walking by from the bars. The bars are also very tiny and can only fit less than 10 people at a time. If you are not claustrophobic give them a try, it's a special experience on its own :)

Easy check in process, and overall very clean place. Was pretty central and plenty of things to do as it’s only a 10 minute walk to Shinjuku. Very convenient if you are traveling to Japan with a larger party.

Staff was very accommodating allowing us to leave our luggage early before check in as we were already in Tokyo, we really appreciated our stay here as it had lots of room to spread out and was clean.

Some butter knives/forks something to dry and clean the dishes. Some drinking glasses. A binder with information on how to work the washer/water temperature/where the kitchen light switches are. Would definitely stay here again. Great location/ safe neighborhood/Close to grocery stores/Train

Enjoyed the stay - extremely clean and safe area, recommend this place for families/groups of 5 or less. Rooms and facilities comfortable. My only issues were some lights that were not working (and I didn’t know how to change the bulbs) and it took me a while to figure out how to use the shower, TV, and WiFi (from the US with no knowledge of Japanese - so I’m sure this would be easier for those familiar with Japan). I enjoyed the location and walking distance to several shopping/food areas and train stations - very easy to get around the city. I was caught off guard with the actual location of the house, as on the VRBO site it looked closer to the Hilton Tokyo (where other family members were staying) when it was actually a bit far, but it was still walkable. Thank you for the memorable stay!

Large town house in great location!

Modern three storey town house with three bedrooms! Great place for a large party! Very comfortable and 10-12 minute walk from local Shinjuku stations. 20 minutes to Shibuya crossing! Very responsive, kind and understanding host. Host was extremely accommodating and was flexible to change our dates last minute, when typhoon in Okinawa uprooted our trip plans. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Facility with potential

I had high hopes for this facility. However the place did not match the description. In addition it was very dirty and my whole family got head lice from it. There were not even basic supplies like hand soap or hair conditioner, no eating utensils, glasses, or plates. It’s very close to the train tracks but was over a half mile from the station. The host responded quickly but was dismissive and not accommodating.
