Captain Cook Family Hotel

"Wasn't able to use the hot tub or the "quiet pool." Rooms were outdated and mattress in our room were really old. Curtains needed to be cleaned bad and had stains all over them. Dresser smelled really bad, so I couldn't put my clothes in it. Kitchen, bathrooms, floors, windows were really clea. It was nice that the room had stuff to play in the pool, sand toys for kids, and sunblock. "

"It would be a 5 star review but the breakfast was not the best. The pancakes were raw in the middle and the eggs were almost un edible. We loved every other things about to hotel!"

"Location, setting, and views were beautiful although rooms were a little outdated and tower was being remodeled when we stayed there."

"We didn’t have breakfast but did have lunch & dinner. Food was excellent & staff went above & beyond to make sure we were happy. Staff at the desk was outstanding & very quick for any & all accommodations. Loved the beach, pool & hot tub. "

"Our room was towards the back of the property so we could not see the ocean but had a very good view of tropical plants. Two pools with hot tubs, we really enjoyed the “quiet” pool. The sunset down by the lobby was spectacular, glad we didn’t have to drive somewhere. The suite was wonderful only complaint was that AC did not cool the room during the day, leaving the balcony doors open at night made the room very comfortable. "

"We had the most charming stay and couldn’t recommend more - we were just sad we couldn't stay longer! Barbara is a wonderful host, the breakfast is organic and delicious, the views are gorgeous, and the grounds are truly magical. It’s perfect for families who love nature but also comfy beds and running water! We will be back for sure and next time we’ll stay longer :-)"

"Great location close to Kailua-Kona. Amazing views of the ocean. The common area with pool and bbq was very well done. Enjoyed watching sunsets every night and coffee on the lanai every morning. "
