“Very nice room and en suite. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Appreciate the coffee, wine, and water provided. Ask if your room is upstairs or downstairs if the spiral staircase would be a problem for you. The street traffic is a little noisy but didn’t really bother me. ”

“We stayed here for a baseball tournament at shipyard. It’s a close drive with no traffic to the field. Owner lives on property but wasn’t intrusive at all and was very nice. We’ll stay again if we’re ever back in the area.”

“Brought three kids down to visit our oldest at the college of Charleston wanted some space to lounge out other then a hotel but didn’t want to spend our whole budget on lodging! Quick 10 minute drive to downtown. Space Bigger then pictures. Neighborhood looks a little sketch but everyone was nice and we felt safe! Nice to have parking. You can tell they are really working on improving the area. Brewery’s in North Charleston only 5 minutes away! Enjoyed our stay !”

“The property was as described and easily walkable to restaurants as well as King street and the citadel. Very tall people might want to skip this one as it in the basement of an older home and the ceiling is quite low in the shower.”

Loved the keyless easy entry and best of all our dog was welcomed as well. The huge fully fenced in yard gave us piece of mind when we were all sitting outside. “We really enjoyed our stay at The Iris. We stayed in a superior suite which was bright and light and with all that we needed for four nights. It turned out we were in a great area with lots of delicious dining options and a short walk from King Street which is the Main Street in Charleston. We walked everywhere. We would totally recommend and would come back if we visit Charleston again. ”
