"This was a quick trip focused around seeing Kilauea’s frequent eruption episodes. We chose this vacation rental for budget reasons, and proximity to Volcano national park (40 minute drive). The tiny home was as described, 1 queen bed, 1 twin bed, full bath, well equipped kitchen, except for dishwasher (no big deal) it was tidy enough. Kitchen table and bench is really only place to sit, no lounge chairs or comfortable seating. Did not see a bbq, and outside table and chairs are pointless…rusty,...

"I highly recommend this property! We celebrated Christmas with extended family and loved the spacious gathering areas and private retreats for everyone. Each cottage, along with the main house, was thoughtfully stocked with essentials like coffee makers, towels, and dishes. The big house had fun extras like croquet and badminton sets. "very nice and comfortable house in a quiet neighborhood. i enjoyed the wall decorations and books and helpful messages. there were all the necessary beach accessories. pahoa town was good business with market and eateries. i really enjoyed puna poke & grill, priced like any other poke but better quality and more choices. while walmart in hilo was cheaper for some things they didn't always have more choices. kta in hilo has always been a good place to shop."

"Everything I could hope for and more.This home, is a place where you find peace, calmness and serenity no matter how busy life is around you. Everything becomes muted. The home is beautifully kept. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. You can be peacefully content staying at the house if you desire to so so. The Speed limit is 35-50 pretty much wherever you go. So don't be in a hurry. Take it as it goes. Enjoy the ride.We are a family of 6, my husband and I and our kids (3 girls, 1 boy), there was more than enough room for us to gather together comfortably or find our own space. The kitchen has full amenities, don't worry about buying any dishes or cookware unless you need that one thing you can't live without.There is plenty of home activities; watching sea turtles surf in the waves, board games ( provided variety), swimming in the pool, walks through the neighborhood. There is TV but we did not find the need to turn it on with all the things available to us.We hope to stay here again in the future, possibly annually. We already long to return.Mahalo"

"We had a wonderful and peaceful stay at this property. The instructions were clear and we were able to easily control the fan/lights/laundry. The view was beautiful and we realized after a few days that we hadn’t seen one boat or airplane go by, just spinner dolphins! We enjoyed exploring nearby and meeting some of the locals, including the neighborhood cat. We loved this quiet part of the island and would absolutely return to stay here!"

"Older home but well kept on the inside. It was a good space for our family. Conveniently near where we needed to be. Host was very responsive. The deck off of the bedroom was cute but some string lights would make it more accessible at night. We loved the outdoor shower but it could also use some string lights when it gets dark. There was no AC but with windows opened and fans on, the house cools down a lot."

"What a relaxing atmosphere! I would definitely come back if we ever get the opportunity. Area was remote and away from activities and stores but that is why it is such a good escape and we didn’t mind the drive. We enjoyed daily walks on the old lava flow to ocean but have just has good of a view from the porch."
