“The Shady Lawn Inn is a wonderful place to stay. It's in the heart of Newland, NC, a small town with a cool vibe. Shady Lawn Inn was my home for 10 days because of car trouble. Staff Kara (front desk), Maria (housekeeping) and Ms. Suzzanah (owner) were so gracious and helpful and I felt safe. Room was clean, a bit dark, comfortable bed (king) and the ac cools when needed. Weather was delicious. Waightstills Restaurant steps from my room. Full bar, food variety, try the risoto with……

“Positives: The room was clean, well-stocked, cozy, had good water pressure, and had a little pond where you could fish just down the hill. It was also located in a quiet area not too far from restaurants and Blowing Rock and Boone. There is a charcoal grill and seating outside. Negatives: We arrived on our scheduled date and were told the keys would be in the lock box. Two others were, but not mine. We called the number on the sheet and, luckily, the maintenance man was in the office to let……
