"The room was great but it was the service at the restaurant that was rather very disappointing. I mean, the staff sure struggle to understand instructions for the food that is being prepared. Twice I had ordered butter chicken in boneless and instead got served with bones. The dining staff looked confused and were extremely slow with giving out the food to us. "The property is good overall, specially for Buddhist pilgrimage. However if you are a pure vegetarian, you will face problems in food. Not only in the restaurant but in entire Bodhgaya. Apart from that we had a pleasant time in Bodhgaya and this hotel."

"This is a 3 star hotel located about 1.5 miles from the Mahabodhi temple and the Bodhi tree. (When I booked it, the map showed it being very close, but it isn't.) It mostly caters to an Asian audience (Indian, Thai, Tibetan). The restaurant is excellent, as are its prices. (I would order a la carte instead of doing buffets). The room is a bit old and quite small. The bathroom was very nice. The staff is for the most part very friendly and helpful. "

"The hotel was quite a disappointment. To get to the front door, you have to walk down a dirt, drainage culvert that serves the poor homes in front of the hotel; there's no paved path/road leading to the building. More importantly, when the handle on my door broke, the bellhop went into the room next to mine and climbed through a window into my room; that didn't feel safe so I left even though I had paid a week in advanced. To their credit, I do think they took my concerns about safety seriously...

"Property though looking good the facilities are not serviced properly. No back up power when power went off for half hour. No hot water in morning. Cafeteria start only at 7 am. "
