“Overall we had a good experience staying at this hotel. The price was bit expensive for a one night stay. The water flow from the wash basin as the shower was splashing. Other than this everything else was very good. Thank you.”

“Good points :- Location, helpful staff, clean an & comfortable rooms and dining facilities, good food. Bad points :- Car park far too small - can be a real problem finding a space and parking. No lift to upper floors and therefore access challenging for some senior citizens and a no-go for the disabled.”

“We stayed for one night only and the reception was friendly. We bought a plug-in air freshener as the room smelt funky. The single bed was uncomfortable. Very noisy at night due to karaoke - but this was the summer in Paignton so I guess it’s normal. Hotel is near the main strip so very convenient. ”

“The pub is in a fabulous position, the room we had was good and the staff friendly and helpful. Where it fell down was at dinner. I was there with my wife for our 56th wedding anniversary and was hoping for an excellent experience but the service was poor, I had to go up to the bar and ask for a menu after waiting for some time. Again I had to ask for someone to take our order, my second drink was waiting on the bar and I had to retrieve it myself. When food eventually arrived (rack of ribs)……

“Can’t deny the cleaning standards based on my room. It is all very dated, but generally maintained. Unfortunately I stayed during a period of warm weather. There is no AC, and there was no fan in the room. I assume the window was broken, as it wouldn’t stay open. I actually used the bin as a wedge to keep the window open, but came back to my room to find a seagull practically in the room. I know the hotel can’t help what nature does obviously, but meant wedging the window open wasn’t an option!……

“Lovely birthday trip and excellent stay at this hotel. They upgraded me in a luxury room on my birthday day, they are always be so attentive and willing to help you. I would highly recommend this hotel. This is one of the best choice in UK.”

“No phone in room. Fan faulty. One window opened slightly the other didn't. Asked for Seaview but declined. Restaurant menu doesn't attract the area e.g seafood. Unaccessible garden through basement. Party on Saturday meant the hotel users were barred without consent to the area. No safety in the sauna such as wear slippers.”

“Nice, cheap clean place to stay. It's very basic but thats all we were after. If we were to stay in Torquay again, we would probably stay in the same hotel. Although be aware there are no plug sockets near the beds”
