"We booked this hotel off of its rating and accolades shown in their site. I do feel, however, that it is VERY overpriced. We were disappointed in this upon arriving to Charleston and seeing what other options we had at much better nightly rates (in fact half the cost) based on when we originally booked the room. "We are return guests. We reserved a water view room. We checked in, started to unpack and discovered water pouring out of the ceiling about bath vanity. The A/C handler was located in the ceiling above the bath vanity. We had to change rooms. The room was very nice, but the view was terrible - the backside of the hotel. "

"Staff was excellent- good location. I was on the second floor room 270 near the atrium -so noisy as the bar and other activities could be heard in our room. Our room had no decent lighting, and was minuscule. So dark and not a chair to sit on unless you went to the lobby area. Bathroom was spacious "

"We had a wonderful stay at Mills House. Centrally located, good service and a lovely patio attached to our room. One significant issue .. the bed pillows were TERRIBLE!! Very uncomfortable. No support. "
