“Pura Vida is everything its VRBO description says it is. Comfortable. Spotless. Convenient. Quiet. The property provides easy access to the many attractions of Sarasota, Venice, and Englewood as well as to the many islands in the Charlotte Bay Area. But the property location in Cape Haze is much quieter and less traveled. The second-floor unit we rented is plenty spacious for a vacationing couple, charmingly decorated, and fully equipped. “The accommodations were great! Kitchen was well equipped to make meals. Used the gas grill several times. Also used dishwasher and laundry and both worked great! It was in a nice neighborhood- we took a 3-mile walk everyday on the only sidewalks we really seen in the area. Did have a 10 min drive to beach and parking was an issue but that is Florida. Explored the area for different restaurants and found some good ones. If golfing is your thing, golf course very close. Overall enjoyed our stay……

“Our room was very clean. We enjoyed a heated pool a couple of times. It was a good vacation for us as we were visiting with family and friends in Englewood and Venice. We also traveled south to Punta Gorda to a sculpture garden.This would be a perfect place to stay for a few more weeks.”

“We had an amazing weekend at Pura Vida in the Penthouse apartments. I have never worked with a VRBO owner that was as attentive to questions or as accommodating at Katja. The apartments are spacious, spotless and so relaxing! Will definitely go back!”

“Things were in very good condition except for the coffee maker, which was v a big deal for me. It was very problematic. I had to get to a grocery for a jug of white vinegar as it needed descaled. Took some doing but I got it working. Everything else was perfectly fine.”

“The hosts were fantastic. This room was so much better than a hotel. Great bathroom and bedroom. The only 2 suggestions I have are1) there is no way to control the room temp because it’s connected to the temp set at the main house. There is a ceiling fan which helps. 2) there is nowhere to sit inside the room to work/use laptop. On my last day I found a folding chair in the closet but I’m not sure where it would work. I sat outside to work with my laptop on a pillow in my lap. I would stay here……

“We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of our rental, updated appliances, abundance of towels and beachy “toys”cleanliness and amenities such as our own bathrobes, rope swings, private hot tub, and so much more. I loved the outdoor space with high top table and chairs, fruit trees and decor. I highly recommend staying here… but wait, if you stay here, I won’t be able to find an opening when I want to stay…oops!”

“This townhome/condo was a dream. It is meticulously decorated and comes with every creature comfort you need. Everything was clean and bright & the view is breath taking. We will be back.”
