"Free parking and views of lake from the dining room were very good. Half board - the dinner was good but overpriced so the 10% service charge worked out extortionate. NOT GOOD We were put in a small loft room with a difficult door to open and a tight stair access- the room and whole property needs a lick of paint and could be cleaner. Location too far from bowness - walking into town is 20minutes but on both roads which had no pavement so very dangerous. Wouldn’t stay here again ."

Good range of breakfast options (the pancakes from the kitchen order options were fab). Good quality food for evening meal in the dining room. The location speaks for itself - fantastic. "

"We loved every single minute of our stay here! The suite we stayed in was heavenly. Having the use of your own steam room, sauna and jacuzzi was worth every penny. The main hotel spa area was well maintained and clean too. The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. A combination of cooked to order and buffet. Didn't need to eat again until dinner! Would highly recommend."

"What a find! This beautiful hall is just perfect. Fabulous location with peacocks and lovely trails to walk in the extensive grounds. Our room had a super king bed and usual facilities. There is a spacious dining room and well stocked bar. You won't go away hungry as the food is excellent with generous portions. Very friendly and helpful staff. It's a must visit! "

"What a gem! I was so sad to leave the property! Everyone was so charming, the facilities were stunning and the art pieces surrounding the property were magical! Marco was the first person we met on a rainy night and he could not have been more gracious! We stayed in one of the cottages and it was such a beautiful ambiance! I will recommend this property to everyone! I would love to see just a few more dining options rather than only Michelin-level opportunities since you never want to...
