"The manager Tappush were not helpful at all when we stayed from 4 June til 9 June in an executive large room with breakfast. My name is Shah and we checked out very early at 6am on 9th June and asked if we could be reimbursed since the unprofessional manager Robert had charged my wife £60 pounds just to check in 3 hours early on 4th June, and the response from Robert who claimed to be a hotel receptionist manager “ Sorry lady it’s not my problem it’s your problem so pay the extra 60 pounds if u want to get the room 1101 key at 11:30am instead of waiting till 3pm… So I will not be staying at this hotel ever again when I had booked it to surprise my wife for our honeymoon and I was running late from Gatwick airport, I felt very embarrassed, wished he would charge my card instead of taking the 60£ from her. I had stayed at this hotel in past on April 19th til 24th too… Hopefully someone higher up can reimburse her or just take it out of my card if it’s necessary.. Thank you and look forward for a positive response if they wish for me to book it again for August 17th again…"

"Here’s a more polished and professional version that still conveys your disappointment: It was my first time in London, and I chose this hotel primarily because of its excellent location, which did not disappoint. The hotel itself has great potential, and the facilities were enjoyable. Unfortunately, my experience was negatively impacted by the service at the front desk. I found several staff members to be unprofessional and unhelpful, which made what should have been an exciting trip much less enjoyable. It’s a shame because the hotel and its location are truly great. With better customer service and a more welcoming attitude from the reception team, this could be an outstanding place to stay. I sincerely hope management takes steps to improve the guest experience, as the staff’s behavior left such a negative impression that I would hesitate to return despite all the hotel’s positive qualities."

"The view is amazing. My daughter had a larger window rm933 with a Tower Bridge view that was spectacular. The only challenge was trying to keep the room cool. They offer fans which is helpful. I had a corner room that was smaller with a smaller window. It didn’t seem to get as hot and had the same great view. Rm953 we all agreed the view was worth it! The breakfast was delicious and the staff was always very helpful"

"This is not a five star hotel. The bed and room furnishings (which were run down) were mediocre at best. It takes more than free chips and soda pop (free mini bar which it is not) or a button you can press for do not disturb to be a 5 star. I expect luxury accommodation, this isn’t even close. There was no bellman to greet you and help with luggage until you walked in and asked for help. There is no sound proofing on windows as stated so if your room is on the back of the hotel you are on the loading dock. My bathroom ceiling leaked two days in a row before they moved me and after requesting to speak with the duty manager I never received a call back. Would never recommend this place and Expedia should do a site visit to validate their 5 star status, strongly disagree."

"I have stayed in many Citizen M Hotels around the world. I actually stayed in this hotel numerous times, some years ago. I was disappointed this time. I pay for a Citizen + yearly membership. Location is excellent. Air conditioning in our room was not very effective. I asked at reception for my room to be cleaned at 1pm to return at 11pm and the room had not been cleaned. Reception could not get access to towels. I had to wait for housekeeping to deliver. I just wanted to go to bed. Some areas need a refresh. Carpets in places are tired. Staff were pleasant."
