"This hotel is unique and amazing. We stayed there with our two kids and l do not usually leave reviews about hotels but l had to do so with this one. This hotel was a big reason of what made our trip enjoyable and very special. We stayed there for two nights to be close to Jay peak resort, it is very close to the hotel 6 or 7 miles away. The hotel is a beauty in itself with its antique ambience and the beautiful and unique decor. The rooms are very clean and the staff very nice and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, it was like real good home made breakfast. In the room, they have tvs and a whole bunch of board games and puzzles and even more at the reception area. Two blocks away from our room we enjoyed a beautiful river and they have two clean outdoor hot tubs which we tried and loved. The room and the lobby had many complimentary drinks and snacks, all very good for adults and kids. They really cared to make our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. I definitely recommend this hotel and if we ever were to visit Vermont again, l would not go anywhere else. "

"We went to be in the path of totality for the April 8th eclipse. I didn’t want to leave. The cabin was great and the locale was very quiet. The eclipse almost came to be secondary for the trip because of the resort and its environs. Now I want to plan a Fall foliage stay."

"We had an amazing experience starting with the setting and lodging. The cozy cabin on the peninsula point on Lake Eden is lovely and the views and the cabin were wonderful. We had a stellar view of the eclipse. The lake was still frozen with fresh snow on top which added to the magical experience. Jim is a great host and quick answer to questions. "Perfect little hideaway to ride out a record-dumping spring snowstorm. Location halfway between Stowe and Jay Peak, easy access, amenities nearby. Lovely setting, quiet. Eric was a congenial and helpful host. Would definitely stay here again."
