“The property was fantastic, the AC worked great, the area was quiet. The staff couldn’t have been more kind, they were great all around. I would recommend the Francis Malbone Inn every time to anyone staying in Newport.”
“It’s the perfect size building and the room was huge with a spacious sitting room as well. The front desk couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. We were so happy we chose well. ”
“Breakfast was amazing! The rooms were clean and new. The innkeeper was so kind, knowledgeable and easy to talk too. In an excellent location. I highly recommend and will be returning.”
“Quaint BnB nicely updated. Only drawback was a very small bathroom in our room. Reminded us of some hotel bathrooms in Europe. It didn’t hinder us but may not be appreciated by everyone. Location is ideal for dining, shopping, free shuttle and wharfs. The ”
“MY wife and I truly enjoyed our stay in a very nice 1-bedroom unit (#5) in early June. The location is superb, with virtually all of downtown Newport within walking distance. It was much more spacious than we expected, with comfortable furnishings, a very comfortable bed, fully functional kitchen, and ... surprise, surprise ... a functioning fireplace! And the garden courtyard entry was charming. Great place to settle in after a day walking around town, or all sorts of restaurants, bistros, bars……
“We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and so glad we found this adorable inn. Their yummy breakfasts were pleasantly served by the inn keeper, Kim and the Inn accommodated my gluten allergy for breakfast treats. Within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and the wharf, we basically left our car in their private parking lot and walked everywhere. An added bonus, 4-6pm they served cheese, crackers and wine. We will definitely return. Thanks for a great, warm stay.”
“Easy access to downtown area. Away from the crowds. Very convenient for tennis tournaments at international tennis complex. Staff was very friendly and helpful ”
“This was our first time staying here. check in was seamless. The owner was friendly and welcoming. small snacks and cocktails were available in the living room. It was an easy walk to Thames Street for shopping and dining. Will definitely stay again. ”
“Lovely renovated historic building. Very walkable area. The street is quite busy but the hosts thoughtfully provide ear plugs and a white noise machine for a good nights rest. The breakfast was light but tasty.”
"The hotel’s location is great, not far from main street. They also offer a free Shuttle bus to take customers to the busiest area in town, so, you don’t have to worry about parking !
We reserved a water view room. It had two big windows , one of the curtain is broken, and they said they are out of batteries, so can not fix it during our stay, so we had to keep it closed all the time. So we can not see the water view from our bed, also because it is too broken, it can not really block the light either! We pay more for a water view room, but end up had no view and no good sleep!
Pleople who works in the bar restaurant are really friendly, but the environment is filthy! A lot feathers came out of decoration pillows! Not very comfortable visually! "
