“Eric was very friendly and helpful. The pool area was immaculately clean. The unit itself was very clean and high tech, with a great AC unit. The walk to the beautiful beach takes 3 minutes, but there's a ditch crossing along the way that might be difficult to navigate for those with mobility issues.”

“This place is rather dated and needs updates and repairs. Broken kitchen drawer, toilet runs on after every flush, mickey-mouse shower set up, we were obligated to clean pool every day if we wanted to use it, wifi faded in and out, and it generally felt like 'economy' lodging. A bit disappointing. Location is a short walk to beach, which we really liked.”

“We booked here after our flight home got cancelled for a day. It suited us well for the evening, however, I wouldn’t necessarily want to stay there for a week unless you got a suite with kitchen etc. The pools looked amazing. (We didn’t use them). The breakfast was good. Please keep in mind we were exhausted and frustrated from a long day at the airport and we didn’t arrive to this place until later in the evening. We didn’t get to experience it much.”

“We were able to check in early which was a great relief after travelling all night. There is lots of safe parking. The hotel is a couple of minutes walk to the beach and the main street with lots of restaurants but was still quiet. All the rooms have their own sitting space outside the room overlooking the pool. Everything was clean. The shower had good water pressure and lots of hot water. The rooms had everything you need including comfortable beds, toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, and……

“We had a lovely time at Papagayo Golden Palms! We were lucky enough to stay there at a time where it wasn’t very busy, maybe 20-35 people total, so we had our pick of pool loungers, restaurant tables and so on! Pure magic! The property itself is absolutely gorgeous, the landscaping, the pool and the beachfront is wonderful. The rooms are a little dated but the bed was super comfortable and it had everything we needed. The beach has a few rocks here and there, nothing too bad, but water shoes……

“⭐️⭐️ 2/5 – Great location and staff, but the hotel itself is very run down and the “pool” advertised no longer exists, they have access to a pool a 10-minute walk away. My family and I stayed here for 6 nights because we wanted a hotel close to the beach with a pool. Unfortunately, the photos on Expedia did not accurately reflect the condition of the property. Location: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Right in the center of town near restaurants, shops, bakeries, and a short walk to the beach. We always felt safe……

“The area was amazing with a beautiful view. The hotel needs alot of updates. It advertised 2 restaurants, but only had one which was all buffet. We paid for a mini bar in our room. We only had it filled when we arrived and never again after that. We were told that it gets filled every other day, however that never happened. The drinks we did get we had to go ask for on our second day there. The staff was nice and the view was great. The hotel needs to add some restaurants. ”
