St. Patrick's Cathedral is located on 5th Ave., between 50th and 51st street. The cornerstone of this landmark was laid in 1858 and her doors were opened in 1879. They actually have a few images inside showing the cathedral back when it was still being built. It is amazing to see the surrounding areas of NYC during its rural days.
