La Isla hotels in Cancun

"This is an honest review❗️Please consider it since I am not much opinionated on these sites. I was given room 2809, the entrance is located on the first floor outside entrance. ALL the rooms in that section are infested with Mosquitos. Like Dinosaur era Mosquitos. Bathroom, Balcony, Bedroom everywhere you'd go, mosquitos. It took me several times to located the general manager till they finally addressed the issue. Offering to "spray" the room. Which didn't work. They moved me 4 rooms down the aisle to room 2802 in which also had Mosquitos. Manager took notice that I was not exaggerating and moved me to 2370 room located in the general building. Problem Solved! Finally! Mosquitos do transmit diseases and I was not going to pay what I paid to get bit by mosquitos and possibly get sick. Moving Forward, the activities of the Hotel are Family Friendly. Kids seem to have more fun than adults. The Staff is Amazingly Nice. Always there to serve in a kind manner. The buffet lunch and dinner has literally NO Flavor. Our preferred meal was Breakfast, food ALOT Better. Mexican Restaurant serves good food overall. I read the reviews and alot of people said they "watered" down drinks; THEY ABSOLUTELY DO‼️ The Main Pool really needs an upgrade specially on its boarders. You can tell the tiles on the pool are out dated and dirty. If possible consider going somewhere else. This is a 6/10 to be honest. Property does not look as on pictures, it is alot more outdated! "

"Wasn't impressed by the food. Most resorts offer pasta at supper where they cook in front of you and you select what you want. Also icecream broke 2nd day and wasn't fixed during our stay. Selection of food was not fantastic. But I came for the sun and got that."

"The room was super clean and beautiful! They had multiple pools and restaurants and bars. My room faces the beach and had a great view. The food was great. Highly recommend it. The staff were super nice and attentive "

"Amazing pools and lazy rivers. Amazing food and great restaurants to choose from! Great room; but the AC tends to be on all the time since it gets so hot. Those room could use a dehumidifier. Amazing people and services are on point and they pay attention to detail. Treat them well and they will treat back Amazingly as well!"

"Rooms and lobby are very clean. We had dinner in the restaurant next to the lobby and it was great! The staff was very respectful and helpful at all times"

"They have like 4 pools that everyone can enjoy, nice view. Pool is not crowded."
