Tsumagoi Mount Kusatsu-Shirane Hotels

"Lovely property, secluded but good shuttle options to ski field (less than 5 mins) and twice daily to Karuizawa. Staff were friendly - used Google translate as there were not many western travellers. Amazing Onsens - all gender seperate apart from private but open 24 hours. Food was great - and a shop for snacks, souvenirs and drinks. Great for winding down and experiencing the snow and small field close by."

"Very good location"

"Superb view at onsen ."

"Great stay loved it"

"Very unique traditional onsen experience! Staff were very kind and helpful. Only stayed on night but it was perfect, very close to Yudanaka train station and Snow Monkey Park bus station, and only a mile walk from Shibu Hot Springs! Thank you very much. "

"Spa is good."

"Helpful staff, beautiful rooms and baths"

"Very charming, rustic, minimalist type place. EXTREMELY friendly staff. Excellent for solo travellers."

"Our stay here was amazing. The onsens were relaxing and beautiful, but the staff is what made our stay one of our favorite places while in Japan. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home."

"Beautiful view."

"En route to Kusatsu this was a great stay. Parking included. Clean rooms. Private onsen. Highly suggest the local eatery Kei's which is only 5 minutes away by car and open late. Great stay!"

"旅行ではいつもホテルを利用していたので、ログハウスのBBQは新鮮でした。周囲も静かで良かったです。"

"This was a warm, family run ryokan with excellent service in a good location near shops and restaurants. The onsen waters were fantastic. "

"Decor is dated. Worn out furniture. The room is pretty dimmed, not enough lighting. Food is excellent. Friendly staff."

"The food is delicious and very varied. And the onsen bath was fantastic. They have access to a spring that makes your skin feel soft like cotton. Truly a lovely experience"
