Hotel Xcaret Mexico - All Parks / All Fun Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"A beautiful resort with nice design and a local touch that makes it one of kind. Very big but with many different sections and a good choice of restaurants "

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"The resort was decent , not near as good of food as we have had at others and they must water down their alcohol due to when you watch them make your drink they put lots in but the drinks are not strong and not the best tasting. Honestly it was fun but I guess you get what you pay for it was much more affordable than some we have been to in the past but the trade of is the food and the drinks were not near as good. "

Barceló Maya Riviera - Adults Only - All Inclusive

"Everything about this resort was beyond my expectations! We booked a premium level swim up room for 5 days and 4 nights. Upon arrival we were greeted by the very nice and courteous bell service men. Went straight to the premium level lounge to check in. It was fast and easy and even made our dinner reservations right then and there. Rooms: 9/10 clean, always stocked up, no dewy smell like you get with most water front properties. Staff: 10/10 did not encounter one rude staff person. All were very kind. Property: 10/10 absolutely beautiful! There was never a spot I didn’t see workers cleaning or fixing things and never saw them getting in the way or closing of areas. Spa: 10/10 had a massage and body wrap! 100% worth it! And last but not least!! Food: 20/10! The food was always fresh yummy and hot!! The restaurants were top tier! We never had a bad dish and if we didn’t like it the waiter or waitress brought us something else. Thank Barcelo Maya Riviera for making this one of the best trips ever!! I hope to go back one day!!"

Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya - All Inclusive
2/10 Terrible
"No beach to walk or ocean to swim in. The staff tells you everything you want hear and then they don’t do anything thing they said they would do. Paid for “VIP” and definitely was not shown that. Also!! The Big one they told me on 2 different days that we did not pay. I had to argue with them for about an hour even with proof. It took a second manager to settle it and then when we checked out they said we did not pay again. Also, they told me they might not our driver I to pick us up, that we would have to walk to the road. Lucky for us they let him in. "

Hotel Xcaret Arte – All Parks / All Fun Inclusive, Adults Only

"I rarely leave reviews, but I truly wish someone had warned me.
Our “welcome gift” turned into a $1,400 upsell just to access parts of the all-inclusive resort. Nowhere was it clearly explained that these amenities required an upgrade. This upgrade was also supposed to include a butler, yet we never met or heard from this person our entire stay.
Yes, the property is large and beautiful, but the lack of signage and helpful staff made it frustrating to navigate. We got lost multiple times, and even a staff member trying to help us had to call for directions.
The food was very underwhelming. Every buffet felt exactly the same, and even the wedding we attended had food identical to the buffets. The bride also struggled with poor coordination from her wedding planner, and the wedding party lost about 3.5 hours of scheduled time due to disorganization.
Customer service was disappointing. Staff rarely greeted guests, avoided eye contact, and basic hospitality like a smile or a simple hello was missing. Housekeeping only serviced our room once during our 4-day stay, which was right after check-in.
Checkout was just as cold. No one asked about our stay or thanked us, but they were quick to push a timeshare presentation.
Overall, this resort seems to rely on its size rather than service or quality. The food felt mass-produced and the customer service did not match the price.
Would not recommend!!!!"

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"Towels in the room are old and scratchy. Place shows lots of wear and tear. Dining room is kind of dark and noisy at Tulum. Much prefer the dining room at Coba and Akumal. Shows were not very good. The sound was loud and muffled.
Liquor was low grade and drinks were terrible tasting. Tried several mixed drinks but same awful taste. The only thing that was fine was the beer.
Beach at Tulum is very narrow, so no seating on the beach and no playing in the sand for the kids. Next time I would stay at Akumal: better liquor, nice beach with seating, small quiet cove for kids to play in the water, shallow snorkeling and playing in the sand. "

"Everything was great"

Grand Palladium Kantenah Resort & Spa All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"Holiday stay at family select level with swim out and then moved to beachfront swim out. Enjoyed both rooms. The rooms were spacious and provided many amenities l’occitane toiletries, clothing steamer, hair dryer. There were ample areas for seating at the beach and pool area. Kiyoshi and Luis were out butlers and were very accommodating- we very much enjoyed them and found this service helpful. There were many covered walkways and signs to help with directions to each area. Reservations were accommodated with butler assistance but still hard to come by and we were not able to access the restaurants we wanted for our stay. The buffets are all the same food and overall found the food to be mediocre along with drink quality even with premium beverage level. With older kids there were not activities during the day but younger kids are very catered to. We did enjoy the wildlife around the resort daily and the pizza stop which has amazing pizza. All pizza is not created equally room service pizza and the other private areas had a pizza that was not great. It’s unfortunate that the pizza offered at white sands is not extended through all areas. Overall the resorts is beautiful with amenities and for families with smaller children is great."
