“I am so happy we stayed at the Pilsley Inn. It is located in a lovely little village just outside of Chatsworth House. I felt like I had stepped back in time. We only stayed one night as our itinerary was very full, but I would definitely recommend this Inn. the people were friendly, and it was a perfect stay for my English holiday!”

“Lovely clean room, and comfortable bed. The bar area was nice with a lot of choice. We ate at the restaurant- food was lovely but the service was poor. After we had our starter, it took over an hour for our mains to arrive. Nobody came to check on us or apologise for the delay. I had to grab a passing barman to ask for more drinks and after being there an hour and a quarter, chase up our mains. Such a shame because the food was very tasty but I wouldn’t eat there again ”

“Awful property,don't book it. Paint peeling off on every ceiling. Wallpaper coming away from the wall in the main bedroom. Second bedroom is very small. We booked it as a couple, if 2 couples book it....good luck! Bedroom furniture is lacking to say the least for both rooms. Thankfully I always take a candle with me, take one,the property is far from fresh. All woodwork paint damaged. Bathroom needs replacing,the bath panel is not even attached to the wall. Both beds needs replacing,……

“Absolutely fantastic property. Messaging the owner was simple, with quick responses. Great neighborhood. Easy 5 minute walk (downhill) to shops, pubs and restaurants. A little longer (and more work) back up the hill. Extremely clean, well appointed and comfortable. Easy to get to local estates and attractions. If renting a car, get the smallest you can as the streets in and around Bakewell are very narrow. Would rent again!”
