“We had a great stay at Fortuna Retreat. Only notes would be that the room could be a bit cleaner (in the corners of the bathroom, behind furniture) and the view from the ground floor rooms is not as advertised- you can’t get a clear view of the volcano. Otherwise the staff were amazing, the pool was lovely and the grounds were extremely well kept with beautiful greenery.”

“My husband and I stayed at Chongos place for 3 nights, it actually looks better in person than the pictures. They have made some updates and it’s completely fenced with parking available if you have a car. You can see the Arenal Volcano from the property but it was hard to see it completely since the clouds are always around it, we were able to see it a little better on our last day. There are 3 cabins that they rent and the owners have their house also in the same lot. Diana is very responsive……

“Arenal Oasis was one of our favourite stays in Costa Rica. The staff, property, trails, butterfly dome, on-site restaurant and cottage we stayed in were all top-notch. We spotted some of our first jungle wildlife just wandering about on the property and really enjoyed staying in a location surrounded by a jungle environment. “This hotel was so comfy, cozy and clean. The staff were so nice and spoke English. The room itself was beautiful walking outside to a tropical paradise. I didn’t get a chance to eat the breakfast because they came late with our food and we were expected to do a coffee tour at 8:00, but it was quite alright. The room and staff made up for that. I’ll definately be going back!!!”
