"Here is the updated section, seamlessly weaving in your checkout experience and early departure: I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent stay here was so deeply disappointing and concerning that I feel compelled to warn others about the severe neglect, questionable maintenance, and hostile atmosphere. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that "management" is far more interested in threatening and nickel-and-diming guests than providing a welcoming or comfortable space. Instead of professional hospitality, the room is plastered with aggressive, passive-aggressive signage—one threatening charges for "abused room linens" and another demanding a $10.00 cash deposit just to use a beach towel (with the word **NOT** dramatically underlined). It sets a terrible, suspicious tone for paying guests, and the dreary vibe is only made worse by cheap, peeling floral wall decals slapped over the dated peach paint. Things were so bad that I ultimately decided to cut my stay short by 24 hours. Even trying to leave was a headache; when I went to check out, the office was completely abandoned. A sign on the door instructed me to text a specific number, but it wasn't working, and absolutely no one was answering the property phone. I ended up having to call back early the following day just to confirm that they had actually checked me out."

"Very nice old New England type inn. The Old Salt restaurant looked beautiful. I wished we were able to have dinner there but we only stayed one night for a wedding nearby. Our room was very comfortable and big enough. But we did see bigger rooms so if you were staying more that 1-2 nights you may want to opt for a room with 2 beds. Very small bathroom. Overall very nice hotel. We would stay there again."
