“The room was a 2 star room - it was cleaned but the AC remote did not work, the security lock on the door didn't work, the toilet seat would not stay up. The workmanship in the room was horrible - you could look outside from the side, top and bottom of the door. The latch on the door looked like someone was trying to remove it. The finish in the shower and the placement of the glass around the shower and toilet was filled with poorly applied caulking that was black, the glass was discolored, the……

“Unfortunately, our experience at this Riu was disappointing compared to other Riu locations we’ve stayed at. Most staff were unfriendly, especially at check-in, where we felt unwelcome and rarely received a smile or friendly greeting. The lunch buffet service was particularly poor. After seating ourselves, we waited to be greeted or asked what we wanted to drink. Although a waitress eventually came over, we were never checked on again, while staff were often huddled together talking instead of……

“The rooms were cleaned daily fresh towels, the staff from checkin to checkout was awesome, the bellhop Andre was right there when I was leaving you get my heavy bag. The food daily was great especially eating good Jamaican food, the dining staff made it even better making sure our glasses were always filled. Loretta in entertainment was great she really knows how to keep the crowd going. I will be back on my next visit.”

“Only thing was the shower not having a door everything else was aaaaaammmmmaaaazzzzziiingggggg. We even took a trip to hedonism staff help us get down there and back….the most up most respect we ever received”

“There was construction at the hotel and we were not aware. We tried to relax but construction occurred throughout the day. As a matter of fact, my mother was holding my son and a piece of construction wall fell and missed them by less than an inch. Food in the buffet was good but everywhere else was poor. My father missed the step in the hotel room and hit his head (not alcohol related). There was no sign to warn us to watch our step. The area/steps leading to dance club at the hotel smelled……

“Pictures of property aren’t up to date.Nice location in terms of the cliffs, good morning swim. Bathroom fixtures were out of date, shower pressure and temp was on and off. Staff did not replace towels regularly and couldn’t even be put away. It was left in a plastic bag on your bed. It appears they just make the bed and take out trash. The general area like loungers (broken) sun shades (ripped or damaged). We barely stayed on the grounds. Only good thigh to report was the drinks were strong.”

It was consistently dry, stale, repetitive and honestly terrible.
