「This is a very special place. It's a little off the beaten path, which made for a very relaxing vacation. The whole area felt entirely safe. A car would be nice, but not necessary (we didn't have one). Tony, the hotel manager, is amazing! Whatever you want to do, wherever you want to go, he can help you make safe and affordable arrangements. We ate most of our dinners at the on-site beach bar/restaurant. Roberto was a great server and made top-notch cocktails -- I enjoyed everything I had there,...

「Akumal Natura was fine, but not great. Our min issue was mosquitos -- there are plenty of them, which didn't allow us to enjoy the outdoors that much. The rooms were okay but slightly dirty from the natural rooftop (straw and clay mix, I guess), some tree discard would go through. As for the cenotes, the deeper one was great - really pristine and peaceful; the shallow one was not very appealing due to sand and mud. The food was good but limited in options. The staff was very friendly, answered...

「A rare time when the pictures line up with reality. Our stay was very nice. The place is well run and only a couple years old. The food was great. There weren't many people staying there since we went in slow season (July) so it felt very mellow and private. The beach was full of seaweed so we couldn't swim, but we expected that so it wasn't a disappointment. The beach is very calm and shallow. Excellent location near everything. No more than a 15 minute drive to most of our activities. Highly...

「Everything was beautiful and the staff is very helpful. On several occasions our waiters brought us a special treat to celebrate our honeymoon. We did think a formal tour of the property and available amenities would have been helpful. We were not aware that there was a cenote on the property and we were never told that we can enjoy the amenities of the adjoining resorts. Lastly, some of the restaurants were not open and the water features were not running which isn't a huge deal but it would...

「The pool was fabulous! The rest, I was disappointed. The premium lounge staff at check in was extremely rude. We did not get the room that we paid for upon check in. The got us in the room we paid for over 24 hours later. The snorkeling and beach pictures advertised were not reality. Buffet was good, Caribe was also good. Brasserie was the best all inclusive restaurant we have ever eaten at. Overall, we made the best of the vacation, but we will not be back. Pictures are of the king...
