"The service was excellent. The room was very nice and clean. The restaurants were good for an all inclusive. "

"The riu ventura was great, super clean, friendly staff and stiff drinks if you wanted them. The only complaint I have was the food. I was always able to find something to eat at the buffet but the food was not the highlight of the trip. This next part has nothing to do with Riu but I booked my vacation with expedia and that was a nightmare. First of all my flight got canceled and no one notified me. I only learned of it when I went to check into my flight roughly 18 hours before I was set to leave. So I had to purchase last minute tickets that cost $2000.00 practically doubling the cost of my trip. So with my original flight, I was supposed to be in cancun by 9 a.m but because I had to buy different tickets, I didn't land until 10 p.m loosing a full day of vacation. I also had rented my car through expedia and because I was not there at 9 a.m and arrived at 10 p.m I lost my car rental. I was not refunded any money and had to pay for another car rental. But I guess im somewhat responsible for that beings I didn't call and let them know I was going to be late but I figured as long as I arrived the same day that I was supposed to, everything would be fine... I was wrong. So in short, screw expedia."

"Lack of communication, 0 accountability. Lied about the room and accommodations. Paid for ocean view, got a view of the pool Useless butler Nothing done for birthdays Supposed to be adults only, not true. Asked about allergies and restrictions....everyday they gave me something on the restriction list."
