"The hotel was really impressive. Rooms were beautifully, appointed baths and shower included. Breakfast cooked well and regularly refreshed. Dinner wàs disappointing. Food did not live up to the rest of the hotel. Draw back was that you had to pay extra for wifi, extra for parking and extra for the gym and pool."

"Beautiful room, very clean and comfortable. Four stars only as noise from people in the room above was a little disruptive. Also, if planned building work will impact guests, it should be disclosed at booking."

"The only real disappointment was our dinner. The food was tasty but it wasn’t as described on the menu-my seasonal veg was two spring onions, my tarragon jus was gravy and our children’s fish bites were just cheap fish fingers!! We were 2.5hours for two courses….it was very slow. The hotel room was clean and the nature trail outside was lovely. The outside grounds were perfect for a stroll before dinner. All the staff were welcoming. "

"staff were wonderful I was put in room 313 but after I turned off the tv I could here a noise coming from somewhere like an extractor fan but even with the time being 23:50 it was no trouble for them to find me a different room breakfast was great and at 6:30 down side for me was the mattress was just so hard even with me being over 15 stone it did not sink in one bit "

"lovely room but there was a constant buzzing noise all night probably from the heating generator,great breakfast and nice staff. The room designer could have done a better job.Large saturating shower head not eco friendly. Black controls on shower trendy but not easy to see how to work them. Floor of doorless shower should have a lip to stop water running out into bathroom.Dressing table stool too low to beable to see yourself in the mirror."

"The room was a little dated, lovely corner bath but the jets weren’t working on it, no shower in the room which would have been handy. Lovely 4 poster bed, but the mattress was way too soft. Restaurant was lovely and the quality of the food was great. We used the spa and the gym the following day, the spa was very modern, great facilities and very clean."
