“Good staff”

“Great staff. The room was great. Ask to get a beachfront room on the 3rd floor. The trees on the property cut down on the ocean view for the 1st and 2nd floors. The hot tubs were not on. There is an area for a bar, but it is not staffed or stocked. Know before you go that this is in a residential area and there are no restaurants or markets within walking distance. Each cab ride to town was $50US. If you are looking for a remote getaway, this is a great option.”

“It was a pleasant stay except that! The hot water does not work, the air conditioning fails 1 time out of 4. Not to mention that the pool's water levels are too low, so the filter doesn't work.…. ”

“Pleasantly surprised. This looks like a small motel, but is an apartment complex that rents out a few units. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedroom a separate from the kitchen dining room. Just a few blocks from the beach… and a great beach club. For a low budget trip, this place was just great. The staff did not speak any english but google translate helped to facilitate good communication. ”

“The staff was friendly and helpful. The town and beaches were amazing as usual. The location was great, being close to the beach and restaurants. The bed was absolutely the most uncomfortable bed I have ever attempted to sleep on. The pillows we were originally given were even worse. We did ask for new pillows and were given some that were slightly better. There was a very loud, obnoxious family staying in the rooms next to us. After two days of listening to them and hearing kids slam doors we……

“We had a city view room and it was gorgeous. Large balcony surrounded by palm trees.”

“The property itself was lovely, our room was extremely dated, curtains hanging off the rail, bathroom faucet completely loose, literally could lift it out of the socket. No place to hang clothes, everything was about 70 years old, paint stained curtains and doors. ”

“We had a great ocean view. Cute little apartment, 1 bed 1 bath. Nice staff. Only thing I can say was bad was the shower head, needed a new one, and a little stingy on the linens. It also had a little spiral staircase off your balcony to go to beach. Very convenient. ”

“We adored Puerto Morellos. Fabulous beach and lots of great beach restaurants. Quiet town with lots of restaurants and live music. The property was cute and the staff very responsive and nice. Our only complaint was the sewer system which was emitting odour in our suite by the end of our stay. ”
