"Totally unique off grid experience smack in the middle of the jungle. Think tiny house meets summer camp! Misty, the property host, gave an excellent introduction to the property and amenities. Her knowledge of flora and fauna enhanced our experience. Don’t worry about trading comfort for rural retreat. Our bedroom cabin was super clean, warm, appointed with quality linens and towels, and worked well for the four of us. This is a must do experience you won’t stop thinking about."

"The bungalow was quaint and lovely. Loved hearing the doves, frogs, roosters. There were bugs but that’s expected in this area. No A/C but with the fans and closing the curtains while we were gone during the day it kept the place cooler. They also provide extra fans if needed. The tap water tastes good. The lanai is very nice, the table inside is great too. For a couple or small family who intends to explore…this is a great place."

Geckos were so entertaining to watch running all over and coquis lulled us to sleep at night. One thing to note: be sure to grab some bug spray, the skeeters are vicious out on the lanai! "Location and ocean view was FANTASTIC. While it's not a 5-star/ $1000 per night hotel, it has everything you would need/ expect from an excellent beach house. We were only a group of 2, but the house easily could accommodate 6 people. Great jumping off point to see sites on this side of the island (Hilo, Volcano, towns that existed a few years ago but then were taken by lava).
