COVID-19 may have changed the way we travel, but it hasn't stopped our lust for exploring. Here are some tips on how to tackle travel's new challenges:

• Investigate the restrictions and rules in both your origin and destination. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so check before you book.
• When you go through airport screening, do not remove your face mask. You will be required to lower it briefly to verify your identity. Those who refuse to wear a face mask may face civil penalties and may also be escorted from the building.
• You're no longer required to hand your boarding pass (electronic or paper) directly to a TSA officer. Rather, you should place the pass on the scanner and then hold it up to allow the agent to visually inspect it.
• You can now take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on bag. This will need to be removed for X-ray screening.
• Place any personal items (like your phone, wallet and keys) in your carry-on instead of a bin to reduce handling during screening.
• Transport your food items in a clear plastic bag and also place them in a screening bin. Keeping your food separate from your carry-on makes it less likely that a TSA employee will need to touch and open your bag for inspection.

As travel borders start to open, most airlines are back in business with new measures including social distancing and staggered boarding and disembarkation. Here's what a few carriers are doing to help lessen the spread of COVID-19:
