「Lovely house in a quiet neighbourhood with glorious views over Funchal. Very well equipped. Comfortable beds. Very close to a cafe / bakery and small supermarket. About 15 minutes' walk downhill to the Old Town, with plenty of excellent places to eat (but get the bus or a taxi back if you're not fit, as it's uphill all the way!). Really good communications from the owner, and a helpful guided tour on arrival. Already looking forward to a return visit」

「The villas location is good with easy access to the promenade via a private set of stairs. It is close to the airport for access, and you can see and hear the plains, as can everyone in this lovely small town. The entrance when arriving in a taxi is via the back of the property with the drop off point just off the main road slip way, so easy to miss. So Google it ahead of time as our taxi driver missed it on arrival and pick up.」

「 Great place to stay. very clean, well equipped, beautiful upper deck. Host quick to responsed and helpful. Should be more outfront about lack of parking and the long hike into residence. Also stated 20 minute walk to beach and store, where it is not at all possible to walk. 」

「Het huis was nog veel mooier dan wij verwacht hadden! Heel vriendelijk ontvangen door Sandra. Fijn contact tijdens het verblijf gehad via een whatsapp groep. Bij aankomst lag er iets lekkers klaar, ook voor de kinderen. Keuken is ruim uitgerust, alles was schoon. Heel veel ruimte en mooi uitzicht! In de ochtend lekker wakker worden in de tuin met verse geuren van de bloemen en uitzicht op zee. Wij hebben echt genoten. Fijne ligging. Rustige straat. Dorpje Calheta is erg gezellig. 」
