“I have to say that I was disappointed with the lack of cleanliness of the house. I realize that it is a very large house, but all the same, it should have been cleaned and maintained better for a short-term rental. The owner only supplied one old bath towel and one cheap new wash clothe per guest. No hand towels were initially provided. I contacted the owner and she had towel sent very quickly. The rugs did not look vacuumed, the bathroom rugs were dirty, the shower curtains were mildewed, and……

“This is a great place to stay for families. Lots of room in the house and plenty of yard space. We loved the old timey feel to the house. Reminded me of growing up at my great grandfathers. Kitchen was very roomy and easy to cook in. Very clean. Most important thing about this place is they allowed us to bring our fur baby. We have a hard time finding places that lets us bring her, so this was definitely a plus. Would definitely recommend this house and would stay here again.”

“Incredible weekend at a perfect house. This is one of the best homes we have ever stayed in: clean, perfectly laid out, well stocked kitchen and all the yard games and puzzles you could ever need. We all slept in as the beds were so comfortable with soft sheets. And the library has a great wide variety of books to dive into. We had the best weekend and wish he had been able to stay longer. ”

“The home itself was great! The location allows you to see beautiful sunrises and sunsets everyday. With great access to the water and just a quick drive to anywhere you may need to get to.There were a few minor issues with the management of the property- however the company was able to rectify them for us.”

“Excellent location with sandy private beach on West side of Chesapeake Bay. Shallow water and no undertow made for safe and fun time for children in group. Loved the daily appearance of Bald Eagles in the nearby pines. Definitely hope to return. ”

“The photos were spot on and this quant home was well equipped in the kitchen. We enjoyed the beautiful rooms with the 1900 decor of the Mobjack fishing days of the past. Especially got a chuckle out of the Harry Potter Bedroom under the stairs. The couch & chairs were especially cozy to drink our morning coffee.A few treats in the fridge made us feel welcome. And our host was quite attentive. A big thanks to Ted for letting him share his home for a few days.”
