“Excellent spot. Have stayed here a couple of times. Small, but very cozy and comfortable rooms. Very friendly staff and they are always willing to make good recommendations. I really love this part of Colorado and always have a great time here.”

“We had high hopes for our stay at the Salida Inn and Monarch Suites, but unfortunately the experience fell short in several areas. Breakfast: Described as complimentary breakfast, but “breakfast” is a generous term. The spread consisted of prepackaged muffins, toast, bagels, cold cereal, and the only fruit available was apples. Don’t expect anything fresh, hot, or varied. If a real morning meal matters to you, plan to eat elsewhere. Hot Tub: This was a significant disappointment. The hot tub was……

“What a great place to stay. When I first arrived, I was met by the general manager, who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. My room was extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was real food and 100% delicious. I will most definitely stay there again when in town.”

“Mountain Goat Lodge is an absolute GEM of a bed and breakfast! Located at the base of the Sawatch Mountain Range, this charming inn is home to a small herd of friendly goats, a seriously fantastic breakfast spread and the absolutely most comfortable beds. We feel lucky to have found this incredible place and made sure to purchase their delectable homemade goats milk yogurt (10/10 recommend.) My husband and I cannot wait to stay again!! ”

“The property is as vey nice, clean, easy to engage the check in process. The balcony overlooking the river, *chef’s kiss*! The location was perfect for, and selected for, being able to walk around the main part of downtown. Easy access to shopping and dining. The ONLY real detractor, for us mind you, was that very proximity. The nightlife was vibrant and, well, loud. If you’re into that sort of scene this would be perfect for you. If you go to bed at 9p like us, something to consider. All in all……
