“I hate to bash hardworking staff but..We never had sufficient toilet tissue or towels. 3 adults were registered, we only had 2 towels. When I requested more toilet tissue, the desk promised to send it but never did. After requesting a room refresh we ended up with no TP. We bought it ourselves. The desk staff wasn't the friendliest. The cafeteria people were lovely and we enjoyed the pool.”

“The caretaker/host was super helpful and very nice! The room was perfect for what we needed although the water in the shower kind of blasted on you when turned on. The location is fantastic. We walked to the Royal Gorge Railway just across the street and there are a lot of food places close by. The breakfast area was down the stairs in rooms right next to the street but they have a nice patio up on the main level where you can sit and eat outside while watching people in the park across the……

“Thoguht it was a fine place to stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the beds had nice firm mattresses. I liked the old posters showing the movies that had been filmed in Canon City and the plaques on the doors showing which Stars had stayed in the rooms. The breakfast could be improved. The biscuits and bagels were still frozen when I got to them. But, breakfast at a place like this is always hit or miss.”

“Our first room we checked into was still dirty with the dirty sheets thrown in the floor. We were the moved to another room. About 10pm while starting a little foreplay with my partner, another couple comes bursting through our hotel door and say they were given the room by the front desk. That issue was handled but the list goes on. No tv remote, poor paint jobs, stained sheets etc. I usually never give bad reviews but this one was still generous. The guy at the front desk was very helpful……

“Room had stained sheets and floor. My concern was that I was travelling with a pet that they would blame me for the current stains on the floor. No cups on the room we had to go request cups. They did offer new sheets.”

“Sunshine was a wonderful host answering all our questions by text quickly and very accommodating. This place is in the most beautiful spot, 360 degree views, peaceful and serene. We reserved the repurposed barn which had 3 bedrooms and one large well equipped bathroom. The common space is large with a pool table and full size pac man game the kids loved! The dog friendly part was wonderful as we were able to bring our two pups. The space tidy and well appointed but was rather dusty (not……

“Nice sized rooms and we enjoyed coming in after our night out and finding a popcorn machine that provided a great evening snack. The other rooms do seem to be occupied by people living there with food, clothes and possibly garbage sitting outside some rooms. We didn’t expect that but I guess it is an extended stay hotel. Room was fairly clean and simple so if you’re expecting frills don’t stay here.”

“Wonderful property and great location. My only concern was with only one bathroom for many bedrooms upstairs, it was difficult to share with friends. We had to use the downstairs bathroom.”

“Absolute idyllic paradise! The house is decorated beautifully, we felt instantly at home. We spent a lot of time in the shared outdoor space, which has picnic tables, lawn chairs, a grill, and horse shoes. Sadly the skies were cloudy so we couldn’t see any stars, but on a clear night I can tell it would be spectacular!”
