"The good: great location. We had a wonderful view of Mt Fuji right from our room. Close to the sight-seeing bus line. Close to restaurants and department store. Onsen was fun. Neat to have a room with tatami mats and paper window panels. The bad: older building and in places really showing it's age. Staff only speaks Japanese (but Google translate helps with that). I also learned that futon mattresses aren't comfortable for me (my son loved them)."

"This is by far the most comfortable and luxurious hotel I’ve ever been in and I’ve stayed at 5-6 star hotels globally. You cannot beat them for comfort, service, meals, mountain view and the quality of everything they provide. I absolutely loved my stay here and felt like I was a traditional Japanese hotel along with all the 5 star service provided. Cannot recommend it enough and I will return when I visit Japan next. "This hotel was nice and had some great amenities, but it is located pretty far from the train station and it seems the buses in the area stop running at 6:30 pm. Most businesses (like restaurants) also close around this time, so at least you can enjoy the onsen in the evening when there’s not much else to do!"

"Traditional Ryokan with very basic facilities. Nothing special to boast off but charges are on higher side. They do not even accept credit card payment and need cash, which was very annoying and difficult as I had to walk to nearby family mart to get cash out for making payment. The owner was nice and soft spoken, did a tea ceremony for couple of minutes and also dropped us to the train station on the morning. No dining facility in the Ryokan and owner seem to be not available after some time to...

"Staff was very kind and accommodating. Bath was very nice. Elevators were small and had to wait around a long time to catch an elevator when the facility was crowded. Food was beautiful and fresh, but a little advanced for kids. Wish they had a little bit more western breakfast choices. Rooms and futons were comfortable and clean. Facility could be updated a little bit, but overall was acceptable stay. Thank you. "
