It's super clean, well stocked, and provides spectacular views of the surroundings mountains and valley. There are so my things to love about this place, but my absolute favorite feature is the deck that wraps around part of the cabin. We loved sitting outside and enjoying the fresh air and taking in the natural sights and sounds this area has to offer....

Dining area was large enough for all of us to eat and play games together. Easy drive in to both Bayfield and Durango. And very close to Vallecito Lake. Would definitely recommend this property. 」

「I can't say enough about how wonder our stay was at the River Side Mountain Refuge. My children enjoyed 2 full weeks of no television and simple outdoor living. We made wonderful memories enjoying the creek, lake and hikes in the mountains. I loved the cool breeze in the morning, afternoon showers, and of course just sitting on the porch watching the hummingbirds. 「We had an amazing time at this property in Ouray. The location was perfect- it was easy to get downtown or onto the perimeter trail. The property was extremely clean and comfortable. There is AC but even though it was hot outside, we never really needed it with the overhead fan and the breeze through the windows. I appreciated that the owners left us a lot of open space for our stuff (lots of hooks, closet space, etc.). Overall it was excellent!」

We stayed in this cabin when our children were small and it was very nice that they added a washer/dryer, even though it did take quite a bit of room out of the bathroom. It was definitely worth it for being able to wash clothes. Tankless water heater was great for all of the showers.」

「This place was wonderful to stay at. The place was clean and tidy. It’s both cozy and modern. The beds were super comfy. The washer/dryer were nice to have since we stayed almost a full week. One of our favorite things was going out in the hottub late at night and seeing the stars so clearly. We would definitely stay again if we came to this area again. 」

Overall it was a pretty good experience except for their heater air conditioner was extremely loud and kept us up all night」
