“We stayed Sunday-Thursday at the Watercolor Inn and it was nothing short of incredible. Even before arriving and calling the resort asking questions the week leading up to, to make sure we had our boxes checked, the staff was incredible! My husband and I both mentioned at least once a day how kind and helpful all of the staff were both at the Inn and throughout the Watercolor community! “We love The Hibiscus. We always stay in The Big Easy room which is spacious and not connected to the rest of the property. We decided to stay an extra night and it was already booked. The owner helped us by booking us into one of the flats. Game changer. Now we want to come back in the fall and stay longer. The flats have more room and a full kitchen. “The property looks new on the outside, It looks updated. When I checked in one of the elevators was not working. The floors of the lobby and in every hall way was dirty with food and debre. I made it to my room and it smelled like dirty feet. The following morning, I went for the breakfast. It was not what was advertised. There were waffels, and bagels with no cream cheese. No coffee cups or lids. I feel like the facility was lacking staff to operate effeciently.”

“The booking stated that min age requirement is 18. Once room was booked, I received a contacted that stated you have to 25 to check in. I tried to cancel right way they would not cancel my booking with a refund due even though they misrepresentation of age requirements. I message several times with no response from the hotel; I went through dispute with Expedia and got no response from them either after they reached out to hotel also. “Have used Expedia and Hotels.com for many many years too many times to count. Booked this hotel on Expedia on day of travel but hotel was fully booked when we arrived late at night after driving six hours. Hotel clerk said Expedia just sees what kind of rooms are available but not if rooms are actually available. Booked another supposedly available hotel in Santa Rosa [another two hour drive] only to be called by that desk clerk to say they just received the confirmed booking but Santa Rosa……

Having the main bedroom upstairs from the rest of the house was nice to be able to break away from people when needed.
