Luang Prabang 2 Stars Hotels

"First, the good: The staff was nice and the area was very walkable Now the bad: Y not you ask? I’ll tell you y not! They did a very good job making the hostel look decent in pictures. It is not. Walls are cracked and dirty. The beds are harder than life itself. Rooms are cramped even if the room isn’t completely full. There are 3 toilets and 3 showers FOR THE ENTIRE building. Which I’m sure is about 40 people. We dont get room keys because The rooms don’t lock. The stairs to the second floor...

"Very friendly and hospitable staff, room with a balcony was great! Comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Location a 20 minute walk to main area, rent a bicycle in town - a great way to get around. Staff organised our bus to vang Vieng which was great. Breakfast a little basic, but great coffee made up for that."

"The staff was very accommodating. Malinda is a 10 minute walk downtown. The coffee, tea access could be improved. Nice place."

"Quiet guesthouse only two minutes walk to many riverside restaurants and five minutes walk to the night market. Room was comfortable and cleaned daily. Staff wasn't overly friendly but they were always very helpful with our questions and making bookings. We found some of their tour/transport services advertised to be quite overpriced while others were right on so just make sure you look around at one or two other places before booking anything. "

"This is a quaint and quiet property. It only has two stories. It's nicely decorated with succulents and has a dining area separate from the main building. The rooms are decent but a little tight for two twin beds. Some fruit flies or some types of flies stayed in the bathroom even though we tried to eliminate them. Overall, this property was worth the stay and I would recommend it for anyone who wants to stay in LP but not where are the tourists are."

"We stayed for 3 nights and on our return the first night the hotel was locked . Supposed to be 24 reception. No sign of anyone. We eventually gained access via the car park. In the 3 days we stayed housekeeping never came to our room. Water never replaced, towels not changed. However the worst part of staying here is the fact that it is not where it appears on the Hotels.com map but it actually around 2km further out of the centre of the old town. "Felt like a decent value for the money. Room was clean and comfortable thw air con was cold enough and the hot water worked well. Nothing to complain about. The young man at the front desk was very nice and helpful with several different things. He probably saved us some serious headache by telling us not to park our rented motorbikes outside unattended over night.
