Overall, the Cancun Bay Resort is a budget-friendly hotel, but the reality is quite different from the pictures. When we arrived, the first room was dirty and things left on the bed, possibly even blood stains or makeup stains and even though we were given a free upgrade, the new room still wasn’t up to expectations. Staff repeatedly entered our room without knocking up to six times which made us feel extremely unsafe, especially with children. While it was marketed as all-inclusive, food options were limited, and not all drinks were included. On the plus side, though, even with a late flight, they let us keep using the facilities after checkout, and they stored our bags, which was really convenient. To their credit, when we reported an AC leak on the first night, maintenance did fix it quickly. So, it can work for a budget stay, but families especially should be cautious, as privacy and cleanliness were major concerns for us.

The staff was amazing, everybody was super kind and helpful throughout. The amenities could use some work as they really only had a pool and not much more but it’s worth it for the price. The beach it’s on is not the best but again, worth the price!

If you are white this is a place for you. The majority of food is stuff served here in the USA; Burgers, hotdogs, BBQ, etc.. even the background music is Americanized. These folks will bend over for your Dollar. Service: The majority of the staff are A-hole. I’m a Mexican born who lives in the USA; I did the mistake to show my Mexican passport and it was all down hill from there. Day one: our flight was delayed so we arrived late. Gorge (front desk) down grade our rooms form beach view to a junior suit. Side note: it was a junior room (two beds) the suit was locked, he refused to open it until the manager approve it. It was s late we were hungry and tired so I let it go. We ordered food, but the food disgusting. Day two: Juan Manuel (manager) “yeah, we don’t have beach view rooms anymore, but I will unlock the suite for you”. Come to find out, they over sold the rooms to the whites folks and have me the downgrade. Now don’t misunderstand me, I have no issue with white folks, i live in the USA, but I do have a problem with favoritism if we payed the same money. Day three: nausea, vomiting and diarrhea was most of the day; yes you guessed right, the food was disgusting. They run out of food fast, they will ask you to leave once they start putting the food away. They say the restaurants are open, which if not true. Day four: We were already fed up with the place that we left to do outside the resort activities.

We came to this resort 2 years ago and the service was much better and much nicer even while the construction of the new restaurant was going on. Now this time we noticed that the beach wasn't cleaned, they didn't have enough servers, food was very plain and the sushi bar was gone. The new restaurant isn't open all the time and the schedule changed daily. Yahir and Jhovanny were so friendly and offered great service. I don't think we will be coming back.

Good value for the price. The resort was very clean and the pools were lovely. The beachfront is small but it wasn’t crowded. The food choices were limited but all were very tasty. The staff was very attentive at all times.
