Occidental Costa Cancún All Inclusive

8/10 Good

"The hotel is very well maintained, amenities are good, but the offers at the All included restaurants are not good. I didn't see variety of food, and the specialized restaurants, for which you have to reserve in advance take long time to serve you and the food is not good. I'm going to give an example: The seafood restaurant had only salmon and scallops, so, where are the diversity of seafood you suppose to find in it?. If you want a lobster or shrimps you have to pay extra, and the prices are very expensive. It doesn't have many entertaining choices either. The rest of the things are good, I mean the rooms, the beach, the bars, pool, and the staff."

"The staff needs an customer service class. The ceiling in front of my door had a leak and was falling down you had to open your door and try to jump in to keep from getting wet. The staff didn't feel it was a big deal they wouldn't change my room and said they'll fix it. I was there for a week it was never fixed."

"All good. Staff work really hard. Pool bartenders amazing. Restaurants good. Shame about the recent storm that messed up the beach, but the staff were relentless all week trying to clear all the seaweed. Entertainment in the evening was the only thing that lets this place down. Stayed at other Riu hotels where the entertainment was excellent this was somewhat amateurish. Overall a great adults only place to relax."

"Very nice property but a little bit of walking but nothing to far and got lifts up to upper level and restaurant coffee shop was nice to sit and have a hot drink the entertainment team were very friendly and sit and chat with you in fact all the staff were very nice.food was good always found something to eat and they always asked if there were any allergies in the group which there is.if you wanted to know if something had the ingredient in you was allergic to they would go ask and find out for you."

"Food was excellent. Only real problem was the pool. It closes at 8:00 PM and there isn't a swim up bar. The property doesn't clean the sargassum (seaweed) off their beach. Plus they have a sign that says no swimming in the sea. So, swim at your own risk. Now back to the food. This is an true all inclusive resort. When you eat at any of the restaurants you can order more than one appetizer, entrée and dessert. The buffet was really good as well. I would rate this a sold 9 out of 10. Highly recommend this to anyone o e or any family."
