While the advertisement is beautiful the resort is old and outdated. There is a ton of rust around the pool. The poolside equipment looks very dingy and you have to put a towel down. If you get a stain on the linens you will be required to pay for it. I was afraid to even be comfortable in the room. There was an additional per day charge for any extra person not included on the itinerary which was not stated on any prior correspondence. The food at the restaurant was okay. The rooms had a foul smell that we had to get air fresheners from Walmart to help. I would not recommend.

The building and its amenities are in need of renovation, and it would be beneficial to have reception staff with stronger English proficiency, especially given that this is a popular vacation destination. During our stay, there were recurring noises coming from the toilet in our room, which disrupted our sleep on several occasions. That said, the staff do make an effort to keep the property clean, which we appreciated. However, the listing states that breakfast is included, which was not the case. Instead, only an à la carte menu is offered, with food that is fairly average yet quite expensive. In conclusion, this place may be a suitable option for budget travelers, but there are several areas that need improvement.

Seat cover by pool side were all ripped and falling apart. The pool itself was OK. The bar was small but since we don’t drink, we don’t care.

I found the physical structure and amenities very poorly maintained. To say “you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig” pretty much sums up the appearance! The location was good, with two local restaurants off site within walking distance. The hotel restaurant was decent. The pool and beach where good..The room cleanliness was excellent. To Sum it up, this was a low cost accommodation, clean and hospitable, with desperate need of remodeling. The hotel was built in 1946 ( The Bel Air Hotel)

The worst thing, almost unbearable, was air conditioning. When I checked in, the temperature inside the room was 17 degrees Celsius (64 F), (my phone can measure room temperature). The air conditioning unit display was 23 degree Celsius (74 F). I increased it to 25 C and air conditioning stopped working. Within an hour the temperature reached 30 C (86 F). Those were the only options. When I complained to the staff, they recommended to try various settings.

The pool area and the pool bar are great with a good selection of drinks. The restaurant is pretty good too. Moderate to high prices, but the taste and quality of the food is above average. Rooms have been remodeled but not improved. If you are facing the lagoon, you will on the highway side, which is super loud at night time. Expend extra to face the sea and get minimal noise during night time hours.
Infinity pool has great views of the sea and is heated.

Everything was clean. Food was amazing. Staff was very friendly restaurant always tidy. Even though when you book it says all inclusive, only the beach and the pool is all inclusive when you go to the swim up bar or any other bar you still have to pay and it is also the same for the restaurant you have to pay for what you’re ordering you can pay in pesos or you can pay with a debit or credit card.

The location and the pool of this hotel is great. The issue is the place needs maintenance. PAINT!! RUST ON LIGHT FIXTURES, DIRTY AND STAINED FURNITURE. The woman at the front desk in the morning needs to be trained on how to speak with customers. The young gentleman in the evening was GREAT! Staff at the restaurant was hospitable but SLOW. We had to wait over 15 minutes for our check. This happened twice. The gift shop woman was very friendly and helpful. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
