“We really enjoyed the pools at the AO. Buffet was okay. The ala carte restaurants were delicious. Snorkeling was not the best but still saw the turtles. ”

“Chez Waffle has a pretty back lounge area with view of the water and fish swimming into the inlet. The condition of the rooms is a bit dated. The prices of food on the high side. It is extremely quiet in this gated community. If you want lots to do, you are isolated. I did diviving and day trips every day, so spend little time at the hotel (only evenings). The local busses that run between Playa an d Tulum are excellent. Very cheap! Overall, enjoyed my stay and would do this again. I recommend……

“I am really not sure why/how this hotel is rated exceptional, but it is far from it! It is totally outdated and bathroom is terrible. The hotel was deserted (not sure why), the beach was small and rocky; TV didn’t work and is a super small; AC either blasted high or low and the controls didn’t work. Even despite being given the best room in hotel, these were issues. Saving grace was view of ocean from room, but low value for the high price! Disappointed!!”

“We loved our stay at Serenity Glamping. Our accommodation was the "Lodge" which has a kitchenette and 3 bedrooms. I recommend the Lodge because the restaurant on site is VERY expensive so it is nice to be able to have your own food/drinks at your site. The Lodge was very private and wonderful! Only steps away from the beautiful XpuHa beach. :) ”

“After months of requesting a third-floor ocean view room - clearly noted in our original reservation and reiterated through multiple emails with the resort - we were ultimately assigned a second-floor ‘ocean view’ room. The actual view is primarily the back of a building that faces toward the ocean, which suggests that ‘ocean view’ may refer more to a room category than to the view itself. When we inquired about the possibility of being moved to a third-floor room, our request was dismissed with……
