“The property is ok, needs some maintenance to get it back to its glory days. The room was clean although the bathroom floor had the grout missing between the tiles. You can hear next door through the walls and can be noisy. The Brasseria restaurant was not great. Staff seemed to be a little lost and the Nachos were stale with the Philly steak sandwich having processed cheese on it that was not even melted onto the sandwich. Poor quality. “Just step away from the airport. Room is clean and the facilities are fit. Noise from plane is not at all. Room temperature is comfortable in the early winter. Great place to stay for early flight or late arrival.”

“The bedroom was a good size and the bed very comfortable. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The decor is older but good quality and the price for a hotel in lovely grounds with a pool and spa can’t be scoffed at. Close to Edinburgh and cheaper than a basic chain hotel in Edinburgh.”

Overall, the place was pretty bleak, e.g. no mirror in the bedroom to check my outfit, only one pillow so I got neck ache in bed, no towel rail or hooks anywhere in the bathroom so couldn't hang up a towel, no hook in the bedroom to hang up a coat, no toilet roll holder.
